Like a miniature, waterlily-bed of gossamer so warm and soft and welcoming and just right for any little flower-fairy to lay her weary form down to rest after a long day's casting her spells is this little treasure.

But this one is really a nail-hard, toughy, little, succulent plant hailing from the High Alps and evolved to endure extremes of climate; covered in metres of snow for months at a time; temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees centigrade and even lower, torrential rain and prolonged, hard droughts with 30 degrees centigrade plus in exposed rocky places without suffering any significant damage. Perfect for a well-drained place in a rock-garden.
