I didn't want anyone to think I was lazy about deadheading, even though I can be.

You can't be lazy looking after all those day lilies.

It has become too hot to do much in the afternoon. The UV index is usually in the very high range. That and the humidity.

I've been lazy today and not deadheaded double tomorrow now lol, I was in shock though Rob had taken my rake onto the allotment went to fetch it to rake up some clippings opened the shed to discover a wasps nest they chased me off pretty quick, well no I flippin ran without the rake!

I had some Yellow Jackets try to set up a nest in my old fashioned oven (which is open to the house). Took several tries with bug spray to get rid of them.

Oh dear we had them in the loft one year, think the worst experience though was when we had our lovely lab Fudge, he was having a wee on his walk and must have done it slap bang in a wasp nest!! He came out the hedge covered in them I put his lead on him quickly and ran shooing them all off as we went flipping things chased us ! By the time we got home we'd shook most of them off but not before they'd stung him many times:-( took him to the vets but by the time we got there the swelling from the stings had gone down quite a lot, would you believe the anti inflammatory's he was on for arthritis had helped the stings !!

Exercise will also help. Several years ago I was out riding my bike when a bee flew into my shirt and stung me on the chest. I pulled it off and got the stinger out and it was red and started to swell. But I was about 30 miles into a 100 mile ride, so I continued. The pain went away quickly, and by the time I got home I couldn't tell I had been stung.
