Amy - if it sets seed..............

Best pot grown for the first year it can be allowed to go dormant in the shed as it grows a tuber. Plant out year two.

Meanie:

Oh, another weed. LOL! When we had all the record rains in July it caused so many of these to pop up along the freeways (more than normally). It's one of the nicer weeds, though.

Especially nice for the fragrance and the bigger than Brugmansia blooms!

This plant was featured in an art exhibit at New York Botanical Gardens. It's in my blog;

Meanie:

I not sure about there; however, here Brugmansia has much larger flowers.

Delonix - don't confuse the tuberous D.wrightii with other Datura species. This is the daddy of them all! This bloom was 25cm across and 35cm long when it was fully open!

My Angel's Trumpet flowers are much longer...especially Brugmansia 'Super Nova' which has the biggest flowers of any Brugmansia. It's flowers are 1 1/2 to 2' long (46 to 61cm).

You know that Datura wrightii is native to Northern Mexico through the Southwest U.S., right? This is why it's grows wild here. lol!

Jeepers creepers!

Yes, most of my other Angel's trumpet flower are around 46 cm. I've measure them many times. lol However, nothing beats Super Nova...as far I know it still has the largest flower of any Brugmansia variety.
