Climbing rose (for Siris)

I bought this as Danse de feu a lot of years ago. Obviously isn't when you look it up, which I hadn't till a couple of years ago. Asked on GOY and had lots of suggestions. I spoke to David Austin man at Hampton Court flower show this year, he gave me address and I sent some photos. They think it could be William Shakespeare 2000 but I know it was bought before then. I love it anyway.

See what you mean about dark, inside the swirls it is almost black, very pleasing. And a divine scent?

Oh yes, to die for. These smells remind me of being a kid, when roses smelled like roses. These days it's no disease, but no smell, such a shame.

I can put up with a bit of black spot, for a heavenly scent.
