Persicaria virginiana 'Painter's Palette' (Persicaria virginiana)

I do not find this Persicaria in the least bit invasive. Growing in my shady conservatory border. I have had this from the time when it was called Tovara. This is as big as it has got.

This Persicaria is growing all over the garden!! Red Dragon has never done this, or my other variety ( cannot remember its name) I am wondering how Purple!e Fantasy is going to perform!!

Although I get the tiny spray of red flowers, it has never seeded itself here, probably because there is no bare soil around it.

DD - in my garden:
Painters Palette formed a small clump but never really prospered. I must try it again in a different spot I think.
Red Dragon has formed a large clump - it's a vigorous plant but has shown no signs of running.
Purple Fantasy was only planted three months ago and is already starting to spread.

Andrew PP took some time to settle but then it seems to have gone walk about, in gravel, soil and pots.....
Red Dragon has done the same as yours one large clump, very easy to take cuttings, bought the very last plant of PF off EBay and have 4 good sized plants ready to sell or plant....

Stop press - I have found my Painter's Palette! Not very big this year and hidden behind something else, but it's hanging in there :-)

That's good then Andrew, you will have to give it some TLC.

And tell it to buck up its ideas! :-)
