Yes, current xenophobia against refugees from Syria.
We forgot that we were once refugees as well and that they are fleeding from countries torn by wars into pieces.
If there was Mary with child among them, archbishops and prime minister will treat them like criminals.

Australia is one big shame as well. Such a big country with so small population and sends refugees on boats from its shores back to the see.

with the exception of the native peoples, here in Canada, our population is totally migrant or refugee...it's just been long enough that we've forgotten. Our Prime Minister is no better. They just want to throw bombs and money and wait for the media to move on to the next crisis. This is a lovely view, what a beautiful country.

I absolutely agree with British politicians, like for instance Nigel Farage, that many immigrants misuse social system of some Western countries and the countries should hve right to choose, whom they let in. But in case of war refugees such decision are always tricky, on the other side amount of refugees counts up to millions. In fact, what we see now is exodus and we are not prepared for it. Neither "rich" countries, nor poorer but stable economics like Slovakia. Politicians are those, who should find solution to crisis (caused by their previous acts) which would not kill any side of the problem (e.g. native citizens vs immigrants). And that isn t easy.

I have problem with false Christians in Slovakia, referring to this large cross. They are able to kill physician who did abortion, but on Facebook they laughed on pics of immigrants, who drawned in the sea.

how sad to see this, Katarina. such hypocrisy and the social media at least shows their actions for all to see. Hopefully it helps the average citizen to say his thoughts and perhaps provoke some action on the part of our gov'ts.
