Too hot for me, I think. The do look like ordinary peppers, wouldn't want to muddle them!

Thanks all , I would like to take that bet Paul Lol I've never had any so hot as these they are wicked ! I make Chilli jam with the not so hot ones ...

They key is to prepare them with other ingredients that balance out the heat, ground beef, tomatoes, rice, carrots, chopped celery. Cooking mellows them out a little, but you have to like them to enjoy any dish. :)

Yes Linda they are good , they are very hot Dd , Paul in the photo these look bigger than they actually are you wouldn't be able to stuff them with very much maybe some nice cool cream cheese even cooked I'm sure they would be deadly I've chopped some up finely for the freezer to use in Chilli con carne , I like the big red peppers baked as in your recipe :o)

So many ways to prepare them and so many varieties I never get tired of them.

I have tried Lori but they don't turn out as nice as I would like perhaps I need a different recipe do you pickle yours ,I make Chili jam !

12 Sep, 2015

chili jam is wonderful. My friend down the road makes it but I have not tried to do peppers since moving here as they require some heat to ripen and the last few summers have been cold and short. This one was the exception. They would have ripened if I had planted them this year. I made chili sauce. You would find it bland because I don't use hot peppers in it...just a bit of chili powder and green and red sweet peppers. With T's GI problems everything I make is bland! would you consider pming me your recipe?
