Lady's Slipper Orchid

It grows well outside here, as long as it's in semi-shade...like under laths. It cannot tolerate our full, blasting hot sun.

I hear a lot about the wonderful weather you have in San Diego. Do you have one of these? Would be a shame to see these go extinct.

No, I don't have one. Orchids are pretty cheap and so many are available; however, with my past bad history with orchids I don't buy them. I just enjoy the ones I see around and in the Botanical Building in Balboa Park.
