Yes, when I was young we had a vicious one. I had to have a broom at the gate to make it in the house. It was hissing at me all the way.Than later we had a rooster exactly like that . Attacking people passing by. He had to go too.
This one is cute....looking so innocent.

He looks healthy, we used to have a cockerel that stood on top of the chicken house and crowed at the people on the bowling green below. He used to lead the hens out on to the land and then lead them back into the chicken run later on. He was a large red rooster and had a beautiful black and green shiny tail.

I think I know the kind you are speaking of Linda, they are quite striking. Goose eggs are the best, bigger and much tastier.

Never eaten a goose egg Paul, and we try to get fresh eggs when we can, but most come from the supermarkets, although I try to buy the local produce if possible.
