These grow on a tap root with lush leaves that rot in the wet. not a corm or tuber as many others are, have tried it outside but did not last long ,having said that you grow in conditions much different to mine.
Karen I could send you a bit of shade, Hermes would deliver lol

Lol...shade is something that will come later, when my trees grow a bit. Its something to look forward to in a few years!

I had a plant like this and it thrived all Summer but died off. Even the root had rotted away.

Wonder if the slugs got it Linda. They decimated my japonese primulas this year. I've hardly any left. All chewed off the roots.

Karen if they are chewed off at the roots check for Vine weevil they enjoy all Japonica type ones put the trowel in and see if there are any grubs (white with brown mark on the head)
Lindak there are several different yellow corydalis most of which like dry sandy soil, if you have had as much rain as I have had here in the west it is no surprise they rotted.

What a gorgeous colour...leaves and foliage both! Never seen one quite like this. I've lost my Corydalis..cant find shady spots for them.
