What a fantastically clean pond! How often do you clean it sbg? They are clearly happy enough to make babies!

every 3- 4 years if we can get away with it. The green thing is the pump that goes through a filterbox and that gets a good clean out evry 2-3 weeks from May through to September. Other than that it is left alone really. I have lots of spare water lilies now as they too have multiplied.
so if any one wants any they can have them.

Long messy job, but good when it's done.

How large is that pond? I had ponds for years. I had to stop because fish were disappearing. It could have been all the reasons you can think of for healthy fish.
Nice to see those big Comet Goldfish.

Our local Dobbies GC has a new tropical fish franchise in it. I dont keep any fish, but whenever I'm up there I like to spend fifteen minutes gazing at all the amazing fish. There was one today I saw called a 'Dog Face Puffer' it looked just like my labrador! :))

not really sure Stan at the deepest it is at least a metre deep. the shallowest shelf is 18". it will be just over 6ft wide and probably 12-14ft long. I've never measured it. I will see if I can tonight when I get in from work.
we used to keep tropical when I was a child. My dad was involved in a breeding program in the NE with the local aquarist society. At one point we had over 12 tanks and 2 were cold water marine aquaria stocked from the local rock pools. never bothered with tropical marine though.
