Plumeria 'Tomlinson'

Plumeria 'Tomlinson' (Plumeria 'Tomlinson')

This is a photo of my whole little tree flowering. It's growing very wide and I will cut a few side branches. It's only 5.5' (1.7m) tall; however, has an 8' (2.5m) spread. Photo taken Nov. 3, 2015.

That's about the size I would like to see my Celadine reach in a pot. I have old pics of it from about 6 years ago. 3'. 4' wide in a pot.
Then I planted it. Even worse,I allowed weeds to grow around the base in a wetter winter. It rotted and fell over. Large branches shriveled up.
Its taken the last few years to get it back to life. Next time, try with a less valuable plant..and make sure nothing grows under it.
Plummies sure like soucal. I'm so close, yet so far..

You need a lot of room and a huge pot to grow a plant this size.

I got this plant as a pretty large cutting two years ago. The plant this cutting came from was huge. It was 5 years in the ground from a gallon-sized plant and was 12 - 14' tall and had about a 20' spread. It was amazing! The Palm Society member who gave me the cutting said it was his most vigorous plumeria in the ground. This one has grown very fast for me, also. I stuck this cutting directly into the ground back in late August of 2013.
