I had one of these many years ago, from a previous neighbour, in exchange for some old fences she wanted to use as firewood :D
Did you know it's botanical name -
Impatiens niamniamensis :)
If you break bits off, they root easily in water.

Yes Hywel I did know the name, but too idle to type it lol!! this is quite old now, so we will take some cuttings from it...

Take some cuttings and plant the mother out next year in a moist and fairly shady spot - it will take off! Sadly it will die in the autumn.
