In Spring. In Summer, the hosta is huge and bushy.

I love seeing he new fresh leaves in Spring. This one gets very bushy. This will be year 4 in 2016. I always thought they needed shady spots, but this one lives in full Sun. I suppose they generally do better in shady spots, but some can tolerate Sun.

I know my blue one definitely prefers shade.
