The roots of my tender Crinum bulb were growing out of the bottom of the pot. I have had to pot it on. Apparently it can grow to 5 ft.

Thank you Pt, but I don't know what to do with it when it outgrows this pot, actually a tub. Got carried away with the lovely plants in Madeira.

The bulbs can be huge, and they don't like to be disturbed. I have some Crinums in an area I don't go to much, and they grow to around 4' tall.

Oh dear Wylie, I think it is too tender to put permenantly in the garden, but I will move this pot out next summer, then I will see how big it gets. Enthusiasm overtook me!

It is a tender bulb, so you have to be careful with it. But get the largest pot you can find so it doesn't get transplanted very often.

Thanks for the advice, Wylie.
