first Christmas present arrived today!

youngest son Jack brought me these logs home from work. They are hollow all the way through and the tallest one is about 3 foot....now what to put in them?

for now i am just going to look at them. they are very big maybe too big for succulents. we will see

Are they Cordyline trunks Sandra? I put some on the log-pile and the outer bark has gone soggy and rotted .....
I think some tallish grasses would look good in them. :o)

they are ash Shirley about a foot across...I think tall grass too. or maybe ferns...

You can also make a side table, or birdbath - something novel!

Oak? If so,its highly sensitive to being kept wet. You could find a deep oval plastic pot and use it as a liner.
It would make a great bird feeder too.
I can see that..yes,with nothing done but some varnish...a nice garden decoration.
