There's a dozen or so in this area of Morley Field, Balboa Park in San Diego, CA. The figs are the size of cherries. Photo taken Feb. 12, 2016.

Yes, it should grow well there. I don't remember seeing any with this large of fruit, though.

I don't think its the same. The Hayward plant in my closeup has the same nitida like foliage- just weepy.
F.nuda is very attractive. If I had the room...

I've seen some F. nuda which have even larger leaves. I think it's variable. It's a very attractive tree.

That looks a whole lot like the Hayward Ficus. I have to get back to see if it fruits. Maybe too early this far north.
