Tulipa aitchisonii var clusianoides - 2016

Another specie tulip, growing to about six inches. The botanists haven't agreed on the name for this one - it's often listed as T. clusiana but there is also a form of that with red and yellow flowers which is more readily available.

Stera - several of the specie tulips are much earlier than the bigger, highly bred ones.

True, but mine haven't even appeared above ground yet!
They must be a later sort than yours.

I only have one species tulip, and that is nowhere to be seen, I think the fencers trampled it to death lol

I think my little clump is usually later than this. DD I hope yours will have survived - they are tougher than the big ones.eare
