Saint Patrick's Cathedral

What a shame the high-rise is over shadowing it ....

Past and present architecture together. I wonder how long the Cathedral took to build compared with the new building. I bet the Cathedral outlives the new building.

You're probably right Linda, It's already been standing for 137 years and restoration...ongoing. Inside is quite impressive.

These places always have a special feel to them don't they. A place where one can get one's thoughts together and be restful and quiet.

Yes for sure, walking in here any day, you'll see so many sad and desperate people praying or just looking for a quiet place to collect their thoughts.

You know ,I see a huge dormant Baobab or grove of them. Giant old tree's have been compared to cathedrals...
