Very spectacular, but I expect it need careful placing to display that wonderful dark colour to it's best advantage.

I am not really doing justice to the poor plant, they have literally been plonked in our evergreen bed.....
After reading a very useful article in the Saturday Telegraph about Hellebores written by Bunny Guiness, re Mike Byford who has the national collection and knows everthing there is to know about the breeding of them !! I managed to speak to him on Facebook, he gave me some very useful advice, as to where to grow them for the best flowers etc...he has the most fantastic yellows, so expensive though, even more so having to pay the postage, will have to save a few pennies methinks!!

It's lovely,Angela, but this colour wouldn't show up in my border, which is quite shaded..Carole and I looked at some well established white ones at the garden centre yesterday, but passed,on seeing the price!..

I do like the white ones Sandra, unfortunately since the fencing job, have been unable to find them, I think they were trampled on, the poor things......established plants are so expensive.....
