It looks very like an Ipheon Kathy, they come in several shades.....

Nice photo, Simbad, Yes it is an Ipheon unifolium. There were loads of Ipheon where I dug up the large Crinum, trying to move it. Ipheon are completely hardy, but they do tend to increase in the garden, simply because they get shifted unknowingly after the foliage has died down, so do take care where you put it. I think it is Wisley Blue, but bought the bulbs probably some 20 years ago, so can't really remember. Hope the others are Crinums, which should be pink, much much larger plants.

I love it. I see a resemblance to Trillium. Are they related?

No Bathgate, a bulb from Argentina, related to an onion, 10 a penny, unlike Trillium, v expensive in the Uk.

Thankyou everyone :-), I have the perfect spot for them Siris a sunny spot on a slope , sure the other pot will be crinum the leaves are much bigger and wider than these no sign of flowers either.
I'd love some trillium too but when I look at the price I'd be scared of killing them!!

Hi Simbad :-)
I've got the same one but mine is a bit purpler:

The clump is much bigger now (probably 20 times?) and it's got too packed. The bulbs should be divided but I won't this year because I've just dug up crocosmia (about 1 sq meter) which was crowded to hell and I'm totally burned out. I checked out the time I planted them and it was autumn 2010. I should have done that a couple of years ago.

Tommymoo great to see you back!!, Hope you're ok, just thinking about you the other day I was looking for a pot big enough to start off the lovely dahlia you sent me,its humungus this year had to make holes in an old bucket in the end.
Yours sounds pretty off to have a look :-)x

Simbad, the Crinum bulbils are powellii pink. If you look at my last blog 'Tender Plants', there is a Crinum (not powellii) in the first pic, which showed the size and form they will become.
