I used to see some in the SF Bay Area, when I lived there. I haven't seen any here in San Diego, though.

They do shine like a beacon.

They certainly do Bathgate. They will starting to fade soon but many other plants are opening their flowers.

You are lucky to have those beautiful Cardinals around, Bathgate. We do not have them on V. Island.

I get all kinds of visitors, some a bit strange and unusual. I was surprised last week by a red tail hawk that came down and grabbed another little bird. They are bold, mighty and powerful...and quick!
