It's a a very common shrub here. Bougainvillea blooms heavily most of the year here. There's so many large ones in many colors in my neighborhood. I was not expecting the really specular bloom this year (which is typical). It was forecasted for San Diego to receive 200 percent of normal rainfall. Unfortunately, we've only received about 60 percent of normal rainfall to date and our rainy season is pretty much done. ?
It's really difficult to take photos along the freeways. The Eucalyptus ficifolia trees that are widely planted along the freeways in many colors. I can never take photos, though.

Soucal's freeway plants are sure different from the bay area. It was nice to see Coral tree's- not just E.cristi galli either, and Silk Floss trees down there.
Up here,we have advanced to Bird of Paradise and A,attenuatum-lol. Better then Pyracanthas of old.

Yes, lots of Bougainvillea, Cape Plumbago, Lantana and even lots of large, old African Tulip trees close to downtown around the freeways.

That is spectacular. What a sight it must be to see them lining the freeways.
