I love to hear them call to each other especially in formation flight. Yesterday at the park we saw a Kingfisher in flight. Beautiful moment to remember.

Today at the park one of the photographers had his camera set on the Peregrine with his catch of a pigeon. It was a lovely close up view that he let us have a look at.

In the parkland along the margin of the St. Lawrence Seaway the Canada Geese are pairing up and nesting will begin as soon as we get rid of all the snow we've got. Seeing ducks on the river too... (mostly Mergansers and Mallards) ...can't wait to see the stately procession of mama, papa and the goslings. Then it's really spring. The Canada Geese were saved from endangerment a few decades ago and have returned in numbers. Some folk dislike them and call them flying rats... sad aye? The best and earliest sound of spring is their call as they return from the south...flying high and in the V formation.
