This is the little mouse who goes into the trellis iron bottom of the bird feeder and gets the nuts that the birds drop.

He is sweet ,we have them in our garage they know exactly where we store the bird grain ...

Hi Amy I think we have one in the garage but I store our bird food in plastic containers on the table under the carport. Even so we sometimes come across a shoe full of nuts sometimes from where they collect the spills from the bird table.

If it is a gingery colour with white underneath it's a Harvest mouse. Voles are usually slightly bigger, grey in colour, with rounded snouts and smaller set back ears. The shrew is grey, tiny and has a long pointed snout and nasty little teeth.

Where we used to live down the road, there were a lot of stone walls and the little mice used to live in there. Every winter we actually used to hear one in the stone wall of the Lodge. He only lived there in the colder weather.
