Dawn we called in briefly to Anglesy Abbey last week the gardeners were pruning the Cornus down to approx 2ft they said to do it as soon as the first tiny leaves appear ,guess what I've been doing today ? they have amazing beds of Cornus in the winter every colour available ...they also said to only start pruning once they are 2/3 years old ... x

That is very interesting Amy, thank you. My cornus do get neglected at times but are very forgiving.

Amy thanks for that tip. usually do ours before the leaves appear, our are all done except Midwinter fire which is later apparently?
