Mukdenia Rossii

I was looking at this last year. Quoted as an interesting foliage plant, but I see the flowers are pretty as well. Do the leaves emerge with coloured foliage or develope in Autumn?

Hi Simbad, I've bought a new day lily Canadian Border Control, any tips on giving it a good start, I'm putting it where 'bela,' was as we have needed to lift that one, full of couch grass :-/

This is very pretty sometimes I wish for more room other times for less !

I can't remember what the autumn foliage was like Siris but the newly emerging foliage is gorgeous, you can just see it in the background a very bright yellowy green really stands out.
Dayliy I have Canadian Border Patrol, one if my first, you'll love it , just the same as any other perennial lots of compost in the planting hole and give it a feed of a seaweed fertiliser that's all mine get.
Same here Amy yesterday it was less I kept starting a job then seeing something else that needed doing and kept flitting around like a looney lol, today its raining so a nice relaxing afternoon pricking out seedlings and sowing veg seed.

Actually it was Mukgenia, a cross between Mukdenia and Bergenia, the leaves of which turn red in Autumn.

We have Mukdenia but not Rossii......a great plant....
