I have this growing in Gravel,Sheila..and get lots of little ones sprouting in a few places ,even as far as some borders,so I keep my eye out for the ones with seed heads on,and they pull out easily..job sorted :o)

It really shows up lovely in gravel,Sheila..and some of mine seeded itself in an Acorus grass in a border, but it slowly overtook it,so I took it out ..

We have a weed membrane too,Sheila..and it's amazing how it can still seed itself occasionally ,but grass is grass :o) I guess if it's penetrable for water to drain away,it's inevitable..but it's easy to spot,if you don't want it where it lands :o) Mine is in the back garden, where I tend to spill compost,as I have a few pots on the gravel.:o)

Yes,I remember,Sheila..and snap,I don't know much about Grasses either:o) I only have three, and the third is Miscanthus Zebrina,in my long border at the front, and a tub in the back.Nice for some height and a change of colour in winter..My favourite really..:o)
