Beaded Iris (dark purple)

Would like it even better if we could see the flower when it opens, TM. Is this one you have previously pictured?

I don't think so, this is the one I sent to you last year (was it last year? I believe so). How's yours doing? Buds coming up?

The one you sent me is one you photographed previously, ( 7 June 2013' black' with a brown beard, yes it does have a purple tint to it) remember, because I commented on the brown beard. It is going to be a 'good strong doer', mine already has some buds. Just looked in my Gou garden, have neglected to insert. 2015?

Sorry Siris, silly me, I misunderstood the word "previously"! I thought it meant "just recently". Glad to hear yours has some buds! By the way, you do have eagle eyes, spotting the brown in the middle of black/dark purple colour. I didn't realise the fact just until you mentioned it!

Ooo is this the one you sent me by mistake a couple of years ago ( almost black) mines huge this year can't wait !

TM, I was mistaken about Iris (black with brown beard) having buds, it is the neighbouring clump. Will just have to be patient to see it flower next year

Yours in my garden do the same too. I have to wait until next year, I think!

Although, I do find the very Talls can be rather later in flowering, my other 'blacks' have no buds forming yet, so maybe?

Mine has a bud forming Tommymoo!! So excited,they seem to appear overnight don't they :-)
