Yes, I love mango, also.
The mango trees here had one of the most incredible flowering this year. It was due to the really hot, dry weather in February. It was the hottest on record in San Diego.

You're welcome. Yes, the flower spikes have hundreds of flowers and the tree has many thousands of flowers. However, only a couple of fruits per spike will develop.

Thank you Delonix for the discription of the flowers at least you get some fruit even if its not plentiful per spike.

You're welcome. There's years when they can over produce fruit. It's best to thin them out. It takes too much energy from the tree.
Here's a really good example.

The mango trees this year are so full of fruit because of the hot weather we had in winter. It's bumper-crops for many people with mango trees.

Any good Mango is a great Mango. Even stunted trees have sweet fruit like the large ones.

I haven't been on GoY for a while. I just posted several photos from May 4th.
Yes, any mango tree when taken care of will usually produce good fruit.
There's a mango tree around the corner from me. I remember when it was planted 3 years or so ago. This year it has tons of fruit and its only maybe 10 - 12' tall. Some of the mangoes are already the size of a large eggs...and it hasn't been so warm this month.
