Yellow ?!?! I thought buddleia's were only purple

As far as I know this globosa which is different than all the others is the only yellow Buddleia. Give them time though and I'm sure that we will see it in purple and pink.

Hmmm. l'm going to look for some... I don't have any buddleia at present... I have mint in blossom and the flower heads kind of droop like a buddleia and saw a hummer checking them out!!

Your Buddleja is in fact Buddleja xweyeriana, an F2 hybrid of globosa and davidii. Looks to be the cultivar 'Sungold', although there are also one called Honeycomb, Moonlight and Golden Glow. B.globosa has orange and tight golfballs, about 1.5cm in diameter.
There are several yellow/orange flowered species, mostly from South America as well B.madagascarienses from, well, Madagascar.
