I only grow T.zebrina! In 15 years I've never seen a flower on them! They used to produce 3 petalled magenta flowers when I grew them in Spain!
I have two very nice plain green ones (T. fluminensis) with purple backs to the leaves, one in the living room in front of the balcony door & one I had outside on the balcony last summer, this last one had 100s of 3 petalled white flowers all summer while the one inside didn't produce a single flower!
