Hyacinth

Never knew there were blue Hyacinths :)

They look more like what I recognise as Spanish Bluebells.

Oh? Maybe you are right. The garden lady told me "Hyacinth." I guess she didn't want to say "I don't know!"

Perhaps they are known by a different name in your part of the world.

The French for 'bluebell' is 'jacinthe' which can sound like 'hyacinth' if spoken with a slight accent.

Semantics
