Getting used to having no grass
Comments on this photo
Thanks to all of you.If Im truthful I would choose grass and when it was first done I could have wept but Im used to it now and rather the way it is than how it looked with Mollys
markings. I just couldnt keep on top of forever watering
reseeding etc. Most of the back garden is laid out in gravel areas and I cant say in a year and a half ive pulled out much weeds in these areas and its been like that for fourteen years so hopefully this bit we have done will behave likewise.I havent ruled out doing something else with that gravel area ,still looking for different stepping
stones at the moment.
I always admire your garden Karen it is always beautiful
You have put such a lot of work into it.

Very kind of you Gerardine. I have a few burn marks where our Molly has sneaked on there in spite of all my efforts, and I have some clover and dandelions sneaking back in too. It's such hard work grass. If it weren't for the dogs I would be tempted let me tell you! I do like a proper cottage garden with gravel paths through beds. On the other hand, the green does make a lovely foil for the colours of the flowers in the borders, and it's great for lying on! :) I think yours is terrific.
