Beautiful, I have the choisya Royal Lace but it seemingly only gets to max of 1metre tall. If this one gets bigger I may well be tempted myself to add one to my garden :) my Royal Lace has unusual scented leaves that are fleshy and have a interesting texture to them.

Thanks Raglanv, they are pretty. One of my faves is philadelphus shrub which is my avatar pic, looking forward to that flowering do you know it, it's flowers are gorgeous :-)

Ah yes we have a really old Philadelphus that our eldery neighbour gave to us about 20+ years ago. At the time we didn't know what it was called but referred to it as a bubblegum bush as the scent reminded us of it. Had to give that a good chop last year and I was a bit late in doing it so no flowers this year:(

I like the double flowered ones too but haven't seen many about. I love your collection of plants though you have a great selection:)

Ah thanks Raglan, I've got the bug lol. and lots of inspiration off here, can't believe I've been on here 6 years. That was my description of the scent too, bubblegum! I used to have Virginal years ago which was a double but grew quite large and took it out as you do :-))

Ah yes that's the name I couldn't remember what the name of it was as I had only remembered the pictures from a gardening book. The double flowers are beautiful though, My one was at the top of the garden where it would grow very big if left. Then it was moved (not by me) at the time and it is very near a fence so it works as a hedge in a way but I'm finding it needs a lot of severe pruning now as it gets older and less productive (they don't make the prettiest of bushes with their growth at the best of times do they?) I taken it right down to near ground level last year. Cleared a lot of distorted soil from the base and levelled it out. It seems to be forcing out lots of new growth now though. The rootball was massive when it was moved about 8 years ago.

Mines Belle Etoile, it does grow a little unruly, it will be pruned after flowering :-)

Mine is Beauclerk, can be very dense when it grows in full vigour. Even lost the dogs ball in it a few years ago. I didn't realise this until it come time for a hard prune. Besides that, the birds love to sit in there waiting for a feed or to tease the neighbours cat :)

Love this shrub mine did get to nearly 5ft but the wind has wrecked it, poor thing half the size it was I'm in two minds whether to ditch it and get another .
