All the new 'buds' have opened but are leaves, bit dissapointed but it's growing well, think this is the first time I've ever seen this to be honest lol thought they were flowers, learn something new every day :-/

Thanks Klahanie I have only ever grown a dwarf so have never noticed the leaf growth before, my neighbour has a couple of lovely ones so I can admire theirs whilst I am waiting and of course all the ones on here :-))

oohhh we will all have to wait 12 months
keep it well watered throughout the summer and and a feed if possible ericaceous fertiliser just so it knows you mean business !!

Gg I added extra ericaceous compost with 4 months feed so hopefully that will do good, yes lol will have to wait till next year now in anticipation! :-))

Sometimes is very hard to see the difference Daylily but it is recognisable if you know what to look for. All these will have flowers next year :-)
It is beautiful Rhododendron Daylily. We call it "Gartendirektor Rieger" on this continent. Originates from D. G. Hobbie (Germany) and Dr. Rieger was his main man. It got a RHS Award of Garden Merit. You will love it, I am sure.
