I've said this before, our weather is schizzo! Excuse me for repeating myself...LOL... The weekend of the 24th May we went from late winter to midsummer! Lots of sun and very little moisture. Everything just popped! Now it's so dry that we need rain for the forests... a dry thunderstorm and we could have fires started by lightening. Today it has been raining off and on...never very much at a time but everything in the garden is just slurping it up! The bullfrogs are back in the frog pond and droning their approval. The robins are singing their hearts out... what a change a little moisture can make.

Ah...well, at least its not cold any more :) And that little moisture might keep fires at bay.

That's true, Karen. We've had the odd shower over the last 24 hours and everything is happy. Have you seen the footage of Fort McMurray, Alberta? People are just now able to go back to their homes, but the fire is still burning. I've been working to clear up the dry deadwood in the bush and this year the soil under the leaf layer is just dry powder... fewer trilliums and the arisaemas and ferns are suffering. Ideally we could use three days of soaking rain. Never happy, am I?
