Thalictrum aquilegifolium with lilac and cream flowers. (two different plants) A bit of height is good but some have seeded at the front of border on the other side of the garden. A shame, but when the flowers are finished they're out!

Funny though, the white never gets as tall as the lilac/mauve.

I don't know Siris, they are side by side.

I just looked them up for size Siris and it says to about three feet tall which is right for the cream/white. The lilac and purple are all between 5 and 6 feet tall.

Thank you for that info, Thorney, my purple and yellow last year was well above the conservatory roof, strangely no way so tall this year despite the wet weather.
