The one that was cut down a few years ago used to bloom at least twice a year....sometimes more.
Here's it flowering.

Andy,I drove on 880 to Oakland the other day. I saw the Ficus benjamina..if they are those? They were HUGE..25-30'
BUT,i was on the freeway...they might have been English elms?..or some other weeping tree?
If you are sure..I want to go back and take pics. Right off Hegenberger.

Yes, those are the trees. I believe it's a Luxus dealer lot. When I saw it back in 2011 originally I though I was back in San Diego driving along a freeway. lol!
They were probably planted as larger trees originally; however, I'm just second guessing.

I'm going to plant my plastic Pink Plumeria outdoors in the ground. Not that its hardy...it hates potting soils. Maybe giving it a try in ground will help. Behind the young Brahea armata should help- hot spot.

If you plant your plumeria in the ground. I recommend mixing perlite into the soil. It's good for drainage (definitely don't use sand, it's the worst!).
Plumeria 'Plastic Pink' is one of the hardier varieties like: Samoan Fluff, Candy Stripe, Celadine. We had Samoan Fluff flowering in Mission San Jose, Fremont during December outdoors (on the south side of the house)
