Daylily Lady Betty Fretz. This is one of my favourite day lilies, when the sun catches the petals they have a lovely sheen to them.

Thank you for the welcome and the information on the diamond dusting Simbad. A lot of mine are behind schedule too Gnarly gnon but its probably down to the odd weather. I am keeping a close eye on my seed grown Hemerocallis, they are 3 years old now and there are the first flower scapes to look forward to :o)

Ali you and Simbad will be able to swap stories and look at each others daylilies, Simbad is somewhat of an expert on here with her Day lillies. Welcome from me too. Enjoy your time on this lovely website. :O)

have you seen "Wylieintheazores's" on here if not hunt him down as you will be amazed ....
Gnarly Gnome ( I picked a daylily name lol) and waited over 3 years to get my hands on the plant , flowers 1st time last year .... worth the wait

Hi yes they are seeds from my old garden, they could be a cross of anything I was growing in the garden as I didn't have time to do any proper hybridising then but I hope to make some specific crosses this year, its so much fun. I have just googled gnarly gnome it looks lovely

I have this one too very pretty daylily, mine are so far behind this year only 'String Bikini' has any flowers so far !, you probably already know but the sheen is called diamond dusting a coating some daylilies have that make them glisten in the sun :-)
