Lupins looking better since the rain.....

Good idea, my Blue Lupin was a picture but the spikes have finished and are producing pods.

We have small desert Lupines growing here in San Diego. They bloom in late winter and early spring. The low desert there's millions of them. It boggles my mind they can grow in the heat of the desert! It can be hot in the desert even in late winter and especially early spring.

This weekend the deserts are suppose get up to 122ºF (50ºC). We're expecting temps up to about 107ºF (42ºC) here in inland San Diego after such nice comfortable weather the last month. Most of the Southwest is under Excessive Heat Warnings this weekend through Monday or Tuesday. YUCK!!! :>((

Yes, it's too hot! It's been cooler than normal here for the last month...which is fine with me. I know when the heat comes it'll make me miserable! My A/C is not strong enough for my house. Now, it appears the temps are going to be a little hotter than originally forecasted and stay hotter longer! Ugh! It's already starting to warm as of today.
