One of my dozens of Angel's Trumpets flowering right now. They bloom all year long off-and-on...although, the last several weeks they seem to be blooming 4 or 5 days right after they finish blooming. I think it's the cooler than normal temps here in San Diego, CA. They typically bloom best in winter. Photo taken June 13, 2016.

All my Angel's Trumpets blooms will be history after this weekend and coming week. It's going to HOT, HOT, HOT here. Pretty much all of Southern California is under excessive heat warnings starting tomorrow through Wednesday! and even the immediate coast is under heat advisories...and beyond that hot weather will be the norm. The nights will remain well above average hot, also. I knew the cool, comfortable weather couldn't last! :>((

People online Andy are unimpressed by my high heat intolerance-lol So,I would say the heat the rest of the country gets must be off my own comfort level chart. I can also see the difference in growth between our summer and a hot soufla summer. They double our growth..and here I am roasting at 86f.
I think our 57-60f nights are the why tropicals slow up. Oh well- better sleeping temps for me.

It's been really warm here 88 - 95ºF (a week ago or so we had one day of 107ºF) during the day and the morning lows have been between 64 - 72ºF (that's usually around 5:00 a.m.) the last couple of weeks.

When it got warm here..the blooms diminished, took a rest.
I have a feeling other droopiness was the work of the gopher that did in my Piper.
