I was inspired by 'Feverfew' to create this. I grew this from seed started in February. The butterfly is a bonus.

I was inspired by Feverfew as well Bathgate and planted lobelia in a hanging basket , obviously it made an impression on both of us. Mine is purple- more magenta colour. The blue is pretty too.

Ahh! Great minds think alike. I'm glad I'm in good company. Thanks Amy - I'm hoping the lobelia will cascade down the sides while the dahlias are in bloom. Klahanie - magenta and purple must be very nice too. I specifically wanted this deep royal blue because the dahlias it's planted with are red & white & hopefully they will all be in bloom for July 4th.
Sheila - Yours sound really unique. I love the copper beech - hope to see some pics! :)

I hope to see 4th of July pictures Bathgate. My dahlias are not going to bloom at that time. I planted maybe too late.
Sheila, talk about thinking in harmony. I was in the GC yesterday and noticed a small beech with purple foliage and thought it could look good at many places. I did not buy it as they have a big sale on Saturday and I HAVE to go back. I would desperately like to have Cereis Forest Pansy for red foliage but have no luck with them. I am on my 3rd one and probably the last.

Klahanie - like me you love dark foliage: I do hope you manage to buy that little Beech!
