That was good of Derek to find the name for you I can see why its your favourite. I use to have a standard one simular shape and colour called the Lovers I thought it was that at first. When my pc is up and running I ll put a photo of it for you.

Hi Homebird, this is a colourful rose. I would have a go at taking a this years growth cutting from it. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Use the Autumn prunings from the roses make a cut into the ground with a spade, add some sharp sand and push the cuttings into it. Take a few cuttings as they won't all take.

That is a wonderful colour, Hb. Grandiflora?
I love the old thorny roses, bought two Therese Bugnet, in different years... the first was like one I left behind ..but the second was labelled T.B. but someone blew it! getting roses that are true to the label is like a guessing game here.

It has happened to me too frequently with clems, Hb. the colour of your lovely hybrid Tea is so special. For me, they will grow well for two or three years and then they weaken and become sticks! That's why I turned to the briar roses. Don't need any extra care. The TB in my town garden was covered with blossom almost all summer if I deadheaded, and it scented the whole street! Only negative about it is the armour you must wear when pruning! The thorns are plentiful and fierce! LOL...
