I've just removed three snails from this hosta - the leaves are supposed to be less palatable as they are thicker.

They obviously haven't read the book Siris....
we found 9 huge snails on top of our rose arch......they are now sliming down munching on whatever and sliming back to safety one of our tender leafed Hostas had been eaten to pieces and although it was in a pot, I couldn't find what had eaten it, until I looked up and found a massive snail two ft above my head on the pergola......not any more through......B-)

The three I found are now trying to cross the road, back to my garden (not so anti-social as throwing them over the fence!)

How are they on the highway code?

I don't think they looked both ways before trying to cross ....

I find they make a satisfying crunch, if you put your booted foot on them placed on a hard surface.
