Soz about name :-? I think Dylan would like to lose his to be honest :-) Maybe when I'm sure he knows the way home I might take it off. We've had him chipped but how would anyone know that if they found him, it's not like you can tell? Think I might be getting a bit paranoid here!!

I have a question, Jacque. Do you not have any endemic diseases that your cats could pick up? It is a big problem in the US, not just rabies either, we have a lot of things cats and dogs can get from contact with native wildlife.

You are so right about making sure they are not chipped - I would hate to lose any of mine Jacque. Our cats have all been chipped and sterilised so they don't go roaming very far. Why are diseases in the US such a problem Wohlihul? Are your animals not prevenitively vaccinated annually?

Yes of course they are, but there are some things in the US that there aren't vaccines for, And of course your asking that answers my question. If you had endemic diseases that were not preventable, you wouldn't have had to ask. Most things are controlled by vaccine and monthly medication, but somethings are carried by wildlife and insects and as yet are not preventable.
My daughter is a biology student at Univ(she is planning to be a vet.), and is always coming home with horror stories, so maybe I am just a little jumpy but with proper vet care pets rarely contract anything that can't be treated with medication.

Do you ever worry about sox getting lost? Dylan can now get on the fence by using a pile of bricks and is obviously wanting to explore further but we're really reluctant because he wouldn't be able to get back the same way. Gee, this is worse than Laura going into town at night with her friends when she was 17 :-(
