Have been moving pots and stones for mum and dad to collect the grubs and insects from underneath for the past couple of months I showed a picture a while back, it seems to have paid dividends as the next generation is so tame it's not good for it so close you could stand on it, but taking small caterpillars I would not even have seen.

I had to revive a baby Golfinch last week. It must have flown in to my kitchen window. I sat cradling it while it was shocked and eventually, after about 15 minutes its Mum came for it and the baby flew off to join her. It was an amazing moment, and I keep seeing them around, so I think they must have nested in the hedge.

I have a male blackbird that follows me round the garden waiting to check what I may have uncovered. He comes so close I could almost touch him.
