Containers

I really enjoy doing containers - no weeding involved!!

Absolutely. I love foliage, and have varying shrubs and plants in my borders. There are some flowering perennials and shrubs, of course, but the main summer colour in my garden is provided by the containers. A lot of them have perennials which I top up with annuals. I love moving them around as well. We have just bought a gazebo and put it on the patio, so I have had fun rearranging all the pots.

I had containers in my last garden but because it was a large one watering was a real chore. Here, space is at a premium but I'd still like to have one colourful pot on the patio. Sadly, what with tomato plants, a garden trolley loaded with sacks of good soil, a trough of garlic and other bits and pieces it's like an obstacle course. The only ones I put there are small pots of geraniums which are looking decidedly sorry for themselves after all the rain.
