Iris... again! ;-)

A very inky blue ?

have been trying to change the colour settings on my camera...I cannot find the right light/setting combination to catch the perfect purple of this iris. Blues/purples don't capture well.

No Lori..they don't. Not on mine either. Purples always come out too blue. You can change the hue on my computer, but it's never quite right as it changes the whole image, not just the flower.

sigh!... and I think something has altered my white balance sensors...perhaps taking shots directly into the sun?... and the enhancement features in the software just alter the effects even more... I admit, I've tried to alter the camera image to get it closer to the actual colour..but it never works.
