It suppose to bloom before it leaves out but this decided not to flower.( Inflorescence last for only a day.) Leaves are interesting too and the stem as well. It is new to me this year and I hope that it will push out the "stinky" flower next year.

I have 3 leaves on it now which are interesting as well. But I am looking forward to see the flower next spring. Hopefully.

It was around 2000..a long time to remember details. I remember he had some smaller species in the greenhouse that bloomed..but I never noticed any dead animal scent from them. A dark colored flower.
So,I'm not sure if that's good or bad-lol. You might miss out on the experience.

We had a Stapelia gigantea on our patio in Mexico and even our table was just few feet away I never smelled it.

Those type of Aroids can be interesting to collect. I knew somebody who had a number of them including a huge A. titanum. I wish I had seen the tuber..because it twisted a heavy duty 15 gallon nursery pot as it grew. Like some horror movie.
